Cloud Sofa
Cloud Sofa
What it is: the cover for the cloud-style lazy sofa you have seen everywhere. Plush, rounded, the kind people sink into. You supply the filling, which is why it costs what it costs.
Why people buy the cover on its own
- It is the cheap way in. A finished cloud sofa runs well over a hundred dollars. The cover plus whatever you stuff it with costs a fraction of that.
- You choose the firmness. Pack it tight for a seat you can get out of, or loosely for something you disappear into.
- It is a way to get rid of things. Old duvets, winter coats, spare pillows, towels — it all goes in and stops taking up closet space.
- It washes. Empty it, machine wash the cover, refill it. Try that with a solid sofa.

Filling it
Open the zip, push the filling into the far corners first and work back toward the opening, then zip it shut and shake it into shape. Polyester fibrefill gives the softest result. Shredded memory foam holds its shape best. Blankets and clothing work and cost nothing, but the surface will be lumpier.
Questions
Does it come with the stuffing?
No. This is the cover only, which is the single most important thing to understand before you order. Filling is sold separately, anywhere that sells cushion stuffing.
How much filling do I need?
Between 8 and 12 lb. Start at the lower end and add more if you want it firmer — it is much easier to add than to take out.
How big is it once filled?
That depends entirely on how much you put in. More filling gives a taller, firmer seat; less gives a flatter, wider one you sink into.
Can I return it?
Yes — 30 days from delivery, unused, unfilled and in its original packaging. Once it has been stuffed it cannot be returned.
How long does shipping take?
Free Standard Shipping arrives in 5 to 8 business days. Priority Shipping is $5.99 and arrives in 3 to 5 business days.
